The research team "Modeling in Electromagnetics" develops many advanced optimization algorithms, which are applied on several fields such as telecommunications, electronics and control engineering. The proposed algorithms will be used in the modeling step of many systems, in which its nonlinear dynamic behaviors will be modeled using our proposed mathematic models. Moreover, they will be used in the controller synthesis step in which some strongest performances will be satisfied by our proposed robust controllers. The desired performances of the previous systems should be enhanced due to several reasons related to the congestion of the electromagnetic spectrum, extremely high-frequency communication systems, the implementation system, the energy efficiency, the electromagnetic environment in relation to the system, and others.

In addition, further future technologies for telecommunications and electronics systems will have to demonstrate very attractive potentials in terms of miniaturization, reconfigurability and reliability, while ensuring a varied production cost within an acceptable and reduced range. However, these objectives can be achieved if the radiation characteristics of the proposed devices are well adapted. On the other hand, they must satisfy the requirements of the electromagnetic compatibility, miniaturization and integration where its realization costs are taken into account.

Finally, the following titles summarize the research axes that will be developed within this team:

-  Development of the controller synthesis methods using the modern optimization algorithms for the design of reliable devices and circuits where the reduced production cost will be considered.

-  Characterizing and optimizing the system parameters in wide frequency ranges.

-  Development of the appropriate models for the validation and implementation steps of several devices.

-  Development of the modeling methods for the electromagnetic devices used in telecommunications systems.
